The Amityville Curse (2023)

I admit that whenever a new Amityville comes out, I fast forward through it since Amityville films made today are just random zero budget horror films made in a few days. This one piqued my interest, though, since it shares the name and basic premise as the worst of the original films. Unlike that one, this one takes place in THE Amityville house not just an Amityville house.

A group of friends buy the house (they know it’s a murder house because of murder podcasts) and start renovating it. Obviously, ghosts with digital glitches start showing up and before they know it, the fresh ghosts are made (through ghost induced suicides, mostly).

The film is bland. The actors and production are fine, but it’s just such a basic made-for-tv ghost film that there isn’t anything memorable or special about it. I’m struggling writing this because I don’t have anything to say. It will go down in history as a ghost movie. That’s about it.
